Snowflake and Salesforce take the partnership to the next level by introducing native integration tools.
The two of the fastest-growing cloud companies in the world are taking their alliance to the next level by unveiling new data integration tools fostering significant opportunities for the users.
Snowflake, the cloud data platform, and Salesforce, the global leader in CRM announced their strategic partnership in February 2020 when Salesforce Venture invested in the Series G round of funding for Snowflake.
Taking this partnership to the next level, on June 3, 2020, Snowflake announced two native integration tools between the two technologies that will enable the users to move Salesforce data to Snowflakes’ cloud data warehouse easily and also allows them to visualize and analyze it using Salesforce’s Einstein and Tableau business intelligence tools. These integrations will aid the user in making insights more accessible by eliminating gaps in the data.
“Snowflake CEO, Frank Slootman said, “The vast data clouds of Salesforce, including sales, marketing and service; Salesforce’s advanced analytics; and Snowflake’s market-leading cloud data platform; comprise a formidable combination of capabilities to mobilize data in the service of the enterprise.”
The Einstein Analytics Output Connector for Snowflake, which will be available later this year, allows the user to seamlessly move the data from Salesforce data into Snowflake, combine the data of Salesforce in Snowflake and query it using business intelligence tools such as Einstein Analytics and Tableau. This integration gives the native access of Salesforce to the joint users helping them in consolidating the enterprise’s entire data in Snowflake and also, enabling them to update Salesforce data in Snowflake.
Einstein Analytics Direct Data for Snowflake is another Salesforce integration announced by Snowflake and Salesforce. It is currently in open beta and will be available to the user later this year. This integration enables Einstein Analytics users to query the data residing in the Snowflake directly. This includes data generated from other business apps, mobile apps, web activity, IoT devices, Salesforce data, and also the data acquired via Snowflake Data Marketplace.
“Enabling more people to unlock the power of data is at the core of the partnership between Salesforce, Snowflake and Tableau and it’s now even easier for customers to access and analyze their critical data in the Snowflake Cloud Data Platform. We look forward to what lies ahead from our partnership with Snowflake and how we’ll help our joint customers continue along their journey of digital transformation,” said Adam Selipsky, President and CEO of Tableau.
These integrations will ‘deepen and broaden the partnership’ of the two companies and will deliver data and analytics modernization, to empower join customers’ digital transformation with data.
