Salesforce has recently named its platform to share ideas as Salesforce IdeaExchange. But wait, there’s more to it. Salesforce IdeaExhange is an always-on feedback platform where you can share your ideas with the Salesforce Trailblazer community and Salesforce product managers. It also allows you to upvote ideas and prioritize the ideas that matter the most to you.
On the new IdeaExchange, you can:
- Intelligently search ideas,
- Get enhanced details on the ideas,
- Collaborate with the Trailblazers,
- And, easily submit your own ideas.
Let’s know more about Salesforce IdeaExchange!
The Idea Lifecycle
You can now collaborate with Salesforce to take your idea to production, and then it can become a Salesforce feature. The idea lifecycle has two processes. One is an ongoing process where you can post your ideas or upvote other ideas that you like by browsing the IdeaExhange.
The second process happens thrice a year which includes four steps. Three steps are done by Salesforce and one by trailblazers in the Salesforce community. You will read more about it in the next segment.
Post & Upvote Ideas
You can use Salesforce IdeaExchange to share your ideas about Salesforce products with the Trailblazer community and Salesforce product managers.
Also, you can browse ideas based on various categories such as Analytics, AppExchange, Salesforce features, products, and more. Further, you can upvote the ideas that you like and want Salesforce product managers to work upon them to bring them as a feature.
Prioritize Ideas That You Like
Wouldn’t it be better if you could prioritize ideas that you want Salesforce to work on? Well, now you can do this. You will receive a coin allowance from Salesforce. So, you can either choose to spend all coins on one idea or spread out coins on several ideas. And, that is totally up to you! This way, ideas with more coins would show that trailblazers want Salesforce product managers to start creating the roadmap and implement it as a feature.
Creation of Roadmap
Now, the ideas with more coins would move in the Salesforce planning process. From the number of ideas, Salesforce would choose the winning ideas and will begin to develop them. Also, you can track the winning ideas to know when they make their debut.
