Salesforce acquired an e-commerce startup Mobify
On Sept 4, 2020, Mobify announced that Salesforce and Mobify are signing a definitive agreement for its acquisition by Salesforce. Calling it a natural extension of a multi-year partnership, Mobify CEO and Co-Founder Igor Faletski said that this is a time for new opportunities and exciting breakthroughs for its partners, employees, and most importantly customers.
Founded in 2007, Mobify is an e-commerce software startup that helps businesses deliver customized and personalized shopping experiences to their customers across any channel. Its platform works on top of its customers’ existing systems with APIs and also provides a built-in infrastructure to secure, host, integrate, and scale an online storefront.
Mobify will provide the storefront solution to the Salesforce Commerce Cloud, enabling businesses to customize their business experiences quickly and regularly. Taking the digital-first approach forward, it will deliver improved shopping experience across multiple channels, boost conversion, and generate more revenue to drive growth.
Salesforce’s Q2 Shopping Index suggests that there has been an unprecedented 71% increase in the global digital commerce revenue in the Q2 as compared to the last year. Perhaps, setting up a simple online store is not enough to drive success, the store needs to be flexible, quick, and scalable. All of this which required to evolve, grow, and innovate at lightning speed and deliver relevant experiences to the customers across all journeys.
Salesforce Commerce Cloud will empower businesses to deliver a seamless and delightful commerce experience to its customers. It will enable B2B and B2C businesses to deliver omnichannel experience across all channels be its social platforms, websites, physical stores, or apps.
